drug addiction
A pattern of drug addiction and alcoholism becomes reinforced by the natural laws of chemical dependency. When we drop acid on metal it burns a hole through it, and the same is true with drugs, when we put to many drops of heroin in the human body it causes addiction. It’s the same with Oxycontin, methamphetamine, cocaine, cigarettes, alcohol or whatever the substance, we are highly susceptible to habits and addictions to addictive drugs. Furthermore these habits have profound stronghold characteristics because they are reinforced physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually; virtually enslaving an addict on each level and consequently anytime the addict tries to stop drugs on their own they experience severe consequences in the form of pain and misery which is generally too overwhelming and thus the drug addict continues down that path. Therefore going into drug rehab sounds like a painful option for the user, it means change, withdrawal, and all the other realities that come with being sober.
