Christian treatment
Christian treatment is a spiritually foundational recovery approach where an addict learns to overcome addictions to drugs and alcohol and underlying issues through treatment programs centered on the Word of God. Often there are numerous life-controlling problems under the surface along with the substance abuse disorder that will also be addresses in the Christian drug treatment center, in order to be totally freed of drug addiction.
Issues such as anger, fear, social anxiety, depression, ADD and ADHD to name a few can lead people back to using drugs, but also can be successfully overcome by continuous diligence in reading, applying and adhering to God’s Word. Furthermore, this is an ongoing process that must be regarded as a way of life for the rest of their lives. The biggest lie from Satan is that the Christian life is no fun and too hard to do, but on the contrary there is more peace and joy to be had and Christ helps us through all this so we never do it alone. However, Christian drug treatment can be tough in the initial phases, because you are experiencing constant transformation and change, which is never easy, but well worth the battle, and the more go at it, and the more you learn, the easier it becomes to the point of enjoying reading the Bible going to church and fellowship with other Christians.
Nevertheless going through treatment doesn’t free us from problems nor does being a Christian, but it can teach and empower you to respond wisely based on scripture to those circumstances in such away to make you a stronger person rather than destroying you or sending you on a relapse.
Christian treatment centers emphasize the power and wisdom of Christ's love to fill the void or gap in our lives that causes us to seek harmful lust that sends us spiraling down the wrong paths. Through the study of Bible scriptures students gain practical truth regarding where we come from and the main purposes for our lives.
So many treatment programs fail because the try treating addiction through superficial means, by attempting to change the attitudes and behaviors of clients without addressing the real issues. Unless we heal from the inside starting with our souls or spirit by lining up with God’s Word our efforts will not last, because they have no solid foundation. And unless you change the real you it’s only an act that will crumple in the face of tests and trials.
