Christian Drug Intervention

Unfortunately in many instances drug addicts who need drug addiction treatment are in a state of denial or just reject any type of rehabilitation or professional help. Nevertheless Drug Intervention is a method that friends and family members can utilize to bring an addict to the point of agreeing to go into treatment and long before they would when letting the natural consequences of drug addiction or alcoholism take its course. Because all too often when years of chronic alcohol and drug addiction eventually comes to a head it results in catastrophe! And can virtually destroy each aspect of an addict’s life if not taken altogether. And the further they go down that path of addiction the harder and longer the climb is back to recovering.

Ultimately an addict needs to fall on his or her face before they are capable of changing; they need to hit rock-bottom, because true conversion often comes merely by first being afflicted, some need to fall more than others.  Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.  Moreover, not until an addict recognizes that the drugs are the problem and not the solution will they be serious about recovery. When done right the intervention can be used to bring the bottom to the addict and open their eyes to see their problem for what it really is.

Drug Intervention is a means by which you can come together as family members, friends, coworkers, employers, physicians and authorities, but, facilitated by an experienced interventionist to bring the bottom of the addict to him or her rather than standing by idly to see if they'll survive in-time to ever really live and be sober and freed of alcohol or drug addiction.

Intervention is always a well planned process that involves not attacking the addict but through love and companionate communication each participant coveys their part unto the addict in a way that will be received and considered by the addict. For this reason the interventions overall planning as to who will be involve and to what degree and the timing of things is critical to its effectiveness.
